World IMF: World economy to slow sharply, led by US

Quote:
..."The world economy is now entering a major downturn in the face of the most dangerous shock in mature financial markets since the 1930s," the IMF said in its report. The IMF now projects that the global economy, which grew by a hardy 5 percent last year, will lose considerable speed, slowing to 3.9 percent this year. It is forecast to weaken even more -- to just 3 percent -- next year, marking the worst showing since 2002. In the past, the IMF has called global growth of 3 percent or less the equivalent to a global recession...

Persuasion? Conservative Party
If the U.S. markets are what the world is banking on, then we are headed for a huge global recession. For too long, many companies have had inflated profits and margins based upon people at the top who wanted to get their greedy little ##### set for life. The Congress has been too willing to not even look into transparency in the markets when their backs are getting scratched and instead focus on whether a baseball player takes steroids or not. When the hell did America's problems degenerate to nothing while there are Congressional interventions into sports! This is so fricking stupid and the answers are so clear to anyone with common sense. Stop giving away money, lessen the tax burdens on corporations so they move back and enlist more employees (the tax burden is what moved them over seas in the first place and they always pass it on to the consumer), drill for our own energy and explore all the other options to free us from middle east oil, stop all the government beaurocracy that impedes the free markets, stop taxing the crap out of us and put back the social security funds that were stolen and put into the general fund for politicians to exploit. It's not fricking rocket science, it's common sense! Every household has a budget and the government is our collective household that need to refrain itself from excessive expenditures and abide by a budget! Come on! This is a house of mis-representative idiots! Forget party for once and think COUNTRY! All the chaos will lead to one point, war, and we don't need that. The so-called little wars can be withstood, but a global recession will lead to another World War and that should be nothing anyone is eager to face again! We have many named Culprits, right here in our House of mis-representatives, it's time to put them in their places.
