Iran does pose a large problem in the world today. However I believe that the USA should avoid a war with them unless they present a clear and present danger to the USA. If Washington would give Isreal the go ahead to do whatever they need to do to protect themselves from Iran along with the commitment to stand behind them I really don't think we have much to worry about re Iran. I really do not believe the Jewish state will allow Iran to go nuclear but are waiting on the right time to respond. They will probably just take out Iran's nuck capabilities. There is altogether to much talk of incinerating the whole country along with millions of innocent poor repressed Iranians.

Wiseone, I will not mence no words, when I say. I am glad that you do not have control of America's nuclear arsenal. You are totally not being rational.

Here is a few questions.

1) Does the President of Iran have the power to use the military?
2) Do you know Ahmaninejad is up for reelection in 2009.
3) Do you know how unpopluar Ahmaninejad is within Iranian society?

I am glad too as I would not mince words either. Yes, I do know your 3 points. BUT, with such an EXTREME religious zealot, we have no clue what can come about no matter what is happening in their country. He has ENOUGH influence in Iran, just like when Hitler started out. Remember, Hitler did NOT start out on top...he forced his way on top and was very slick...this guy is the same thing except WORSE. I have watched, and read, everything I can on this madman...yes, he IS a nut! He really thinks he is going to bring back this "hidden imam"...Mark my words...he WILL get back in in 2009 and he will be allowed to flourish just like Hitler did as we sit back and watch...

Ok, Wiseone. I do not know where to start. Conservatives like yourself, keep on talking about Hitler and Eurpore's applesement towards the AXIS powers. Let learn real history instead of the neocon, mancho revisionist history. The United Kingdom and France had to seek agreements with Germany because their respectiive poplcuce were still rebouning from the genernational losses in the first war. On top of that, the Eurpoean allies as well as America could not fight because the Great Depression was causing problems on the home front.
Even if FDR and others decide to invade Germany, the war would be alot worse. Keep in mind, the USSR were allies with the NAZi until late 1941. The USSR would have retaken Alaska etc.

Hitler would not recieve the top postion of the government, if the Conservative party of Germany had not join the nazi to form a coaliton government. Second, the President of Germany was too damn weak and sorry to pressure Hitler before he resign.

I will not mince words here and any of you can take my words any way you want. All I am hearing for the past four or five years is a bunch of a scared old white guys being irrational of a forgien leader. Hell, how many times a country has been threaten by another? In the 1950's and 60's, a Soviet leader threw fits at the UN saying we "will bury you". What happen then? nothing. President and General Ike Eisehower recieve threats, he and JFK did not nothing but talk with the soviets one on one. In the 1964/65 red China tested their atomic bomb.
