To those who don't think that attacking Iran will start WW3.

Let's say we better yet Isreal attacks Iran. well.... China gets approx. 85% of it's oil from Iran, so they're economically involved. they would side with Iran. If China gets in it to protect their oil interest so will we to protect our ally, Isreal. The british would side with isreal because of their stake in starting isreal. russia would side with Iran because of the resources given to and recieved from Iran. then you would have the two sides again just like in previous world wars. the big three axis, Iran, China, Russia; and the big three allied, Isreal, U.S., Great Britian. the rest of the countries involved would be determined by who really hates america and isreal verses those who think that the 3 more technologically advanced countries would win.

that's just my logical break down of things. it's just a basic break down. you can check what little fact i put in there if you like.

It is my position that Ahmadinejad is not in charge of Iran. He is to Iranian politics what Rush Limbaugh is to American politics.

He is stating what the most conservative religious nuts are thinking.

The mean age of Iranians is less than 30. The young Iranians are not as political as the older Iranians. What the young Iranians want is simular to what American youth wants: blue geans, hip music, cosmetics etc. The international web and blogs such as the Political Ravings have opened the eyes of the Iranian youth.

Once an individual or peer groups have had their minds opened to logic and freedom concepts, the genie is forever out of the bottle.

Presently, the Mullahs are in total control on who can get on the ballets for political office. This may help the far right religious nuts on the short term but, over time, this increases the anger of the young.

It is my opinion that in a decade or two that Iran and the US will become friends. Ironically, I do not see that as far as Iraq.

Although Ahmadinejad is presently ahead in the political polls it is highly possible that he will not make it past the next election.

Respectfully,

wdp

Not a doubt in my mind that an attack on Iran will start WWIII. I also agree with you, wdp...I think and HOPE Ahmajinedad will get kicked out in their June elections...

Hopefully we have a decade. there's nothing like a war to keep a leader in power. i wouldn't put it past any politician to start a war to keep political power a little bit longer.
