French President Nicolas Sarkozy piled pressure on Iran at the United Nations Tuesday, saying it would be unacceptable for the Islamic republic to get hold of nuclear weapons.
Sarkozy's comments came just hours before Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was due to address the world body, in a speech expected to attempt to play down fears of Tehran's nuclear ambitions.
"Iran has the right to nuclear energy," Sarkozy told world leaders at the General Assembly's 62nd session here. "But allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons would mean an unacceptable risk for regional and world stability."

WiseOne's Comments, I agree with the French President...Iran with a nuclear weapon is UNACCEPTABLE. It poses too high of a risk for the whole world's stability in general. They do NOT need nuclear capabilities sitting on some of the world's largest reserves of oil. It is ridiculous. We cannot accept another Hitler. Appeasement is NO option and I fully support an attack on Iran's military/nuclear installations at any point to stop them. Warning to the military: come like thieves in the night, come in fast, come in hard, take OUT their nuclear ambitions and decimate their military so it will take them 100 years to get it back. This is BS the whole world begging this pure evil (Iran) to "be nice". The time for being nice stops when you threaten to wipe races and countries off the face of the map. IF you were my neighbor and you told me you were going to kill me, you had better watch your butt because I WILL come for you! A mighty nation, like America, sitting backing watching this evil build up their capabilities is asinine indeed. Just MHO

I agree, TheKing and MasterTech. This world TRULY is headed straight into a disaster of Biblical proportions. The Chess pieces are being moved into place and soon there will be, inevitably, a checkmate.

Feels like we're just on the edge of everything falling apart and we've allowed it to happen by all the garbage we've let just happen to our country. Freedom of speech is now backwards, the Libs and Dems, with all the bleeding hearts has made America look like we're evil to other country's and the list goes on. God never intended for us to allow the things we have all over today. You can't turn on a "clean" TV program any longer without having your children see "R" rated commercials in between. We've turned into a land where anything goes as long as if feels good. Consequences for actions are a thing of the past.

Ever feel like we're in a box just waiting to be attacked from all sides??

......there are 2 periods of history that I would have liked to live in---(1) when Jesus walked the earth in the flesh, and (2) to be around for the end times and see all that prophecy come to pass!! Guess I'll have to settle for the latter!! Scripture says "Rejoice, for your redemption draweth nigh!"

WOW, I agree, Jam and Attitude! I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who can "hear." We are at the verge of a true paradigm shift and that is putting it nicely.
