Question Whats wrong with the GOP?

He once described feminism as something invented to allow ugly women access to the mainstream. According to the media watch dog group Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, He once advised a black caller to his radio show: "Take that bone out of your nose and call me back." He even once made fun of the body tremors of a man struggling with Parkinson's Disease.
Yet, When RPC Chairman Michael Steele described Rush Limbaugh's show as "ugly" and "Incendiary" It was Steele who was required to submit a prompt apology. People ask, after two consecutive losses at the voting booth, Whats wrong with the GOP?

They have washed their hands and hung their heads over Steele's goofy attemps to bring the street creed to the party of big business and social conservatism, over the way L.A. Gov. Bobby Jindal seemed to channel Howdy Doody while delivering the GOP response to Obama's speech to Congress. It's a sign that for all the talk about re branding and reinventing, the party remains too reluctant to match it's words with deeds. As many in the party have noted, The Republicans face a real challenge to attract new voters in the new demographics of the nation. The party continues to rely on angry whites in the southern states for the vast majority of the votes.

Sadly there seems to be no major changes coming within the party anytime soon. They fear loosing the few votes they have. They are unable to Dis-enthrall themselves from the intolerant, Intellectually incoherent demographic they call their base, IE, extreme Conservatives. In the past the GOP has been able to woo them by dehumanizing the poor, feminist, Muslims, Gays and anyone else who didn't fit into the white picket fence fantasies. And so the GOP has put their fate in the hands of the loud mouth from Florida who of course has been married 3 times and now lives with a woman he is not married to, Skip Military service because he had a boil on his ### and pops pain killers like m&m's.

Persuasion? Conservative Party
USA

whats wrong with the GOP they forgot what it means to be conservative and got tooooooo far to the middle ground trying to appease people. All it did was weaken the base. Remember what happened to the Puritans????? wellll many years ago after comming to America the younger generation was not accepting of the Christian values...so church membership started dropping soooo the leaders in for the sake of numbers relaxed their standards for membership! The GOP had better get a grip and remember what they stand for and stick to it!

Please "people"? Dont you mean they sold out our country to the upper 1%? And didn't even challenge Bush and all his FTAs which took jobs out of our nation. They pleased themselves, too, making more ear marks from 2000 - 2006 than at any other time in our history.
