Talking A Christian Who HATES Religion

I am a Christian who HATES religion. Why? What really irks me is I see these Churches building million dollar additions while people starve and go homeless. NOTHING irks me more than the focus on a stupid building while people around you go without essential needs. That is why I hate religion. I do have faith in Jesus and trust in him; that's my story and I'm sticking to it, period.

I DESPISE the Pope and you will NEVER see me call another man "father," and you darn sure won't see me kiss another man's hand. To say you can "save" another person as an intermediary is BLASPHEMY to me. If that is the case, then WHY in hell would Jesus come do what he did for us (suffer a horrible death on the cross)? It would be retarded. It would make no sense.

I am of the firm belief that I simply cannot save myself, nor can any man...so I have faith in Jesus to do it for me. Oh, and just in case you all didn't know...I am FAR from perfect, but he is, LOL. Good thing!

Bottom Line: I am a no-bullshi**er and I come as I am.

I can understand some of your post here.

I am a Christian who certainly believes that Jesus is GOD.

Religion in it's different sectors confuse me and I find myself being turned off by any religion.

One of my very favorite pastors was a man named Dr. Marten Lloyd Jones. He wrote a book called,"From religion to faith". It is just such a fantastic book and I recommend it highly. I too am very disillusioned with much of todays so called Christian churchs. Their message has strayed far from what the bible teaches and commands of the followers of Jesus. Always remember that the church is made up of the "Church visible" "The church invisible" and the church triumphant. The visible made up of believers and non believers. There are many there who will face judgement on that last day. The invisible, made up of true believers, those called by God and adopted into his family by his grace and known only to him. And the triumphant church whom will all praise the Lord in heaven forever after God wraps up history and the final defeat of sin and evil is accomplished. Do you know when this will come to pass? It will come to pass when God has brought all his chosen ones into the fold. When every last one whose name was in the Lambs book of life, before the foundation of the world is saved. Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a WRETCH like me. I once was lost but now I'm found, twas blind but now I see.

I'm with you 100% WiseOne. I've been the 'religious route:' big church buildings, 3-piece suits, an usher, etc. and dont see it as 'real' N.T. Christianity! Man always tries to put God in a box and serve Him as 'they will.' My walk (and often a 'stumble') is based on the 'words in Red' of the 'author and perfecter of my faith,' as the scripture says. I rarely if ever use the term 'Bible,' since it sounds religious and turns ppl off; but I do revere the scriptures and their spiritual significance. There shud be no such thing as 'blind faith!' 'Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word..' as it says---so real faith isnt blind, but has substance.

A Christian's life is a long walk, and described as a 'marathon,' and it's not that we stumble and fall that is important---but that we get back up and continue in the 'right' direction that counts! As you said, I'm not perfect but I 'know' the One who is! And, as He identified with us upon the cross and with His death; we identify with Him and His righteousness thru acceptance of that work.

Will now get out of the 'pulpit,' ha ha, but just trying to differentiate for some between 'dead religion' and 'life giving revelation.' One is dead works without any life; while the other transforms lives...

Catprint Blue You mus see ZEITGEIST

When I was a young boy in Boston, I went to mass every Sunday and then marched to catachism class. One day I asked a question that the nuns didn't like. It kinda went like this.... Sister is there baseball or football in heaven? She answered, no. Sister is there hockey or basketball in heaven? Again she answered, no. Sister are there dogs in heaven? No! Is there ice cream in heaven? No, there is not she answered. Well then I don't want to go! Of course None of whet I was hearing made a bit of sense.

I have since I was a young boy searching for the truth about god. I prefer to refer to him as our creator. We live in an exciting time! I have never beleived what the churches have told me. In fact what we have been taught is a perversion of the bible and most sacred texts.

Instead of trying to explain in this forum. I will direct you so that you may realize the truth for yourself. Go to Google videos and watch the following videos. I recommend you view the in the following order.

1. Unlocking the mysteries of life. (not evolution)
2. Proof of a creator. (not Genesis)
3. Zeitgeist (only for the very brave)
4. The naked truth ( only for the brave)
5. Quantum Physics
6. The secret

With these videos under your belt you wil have the foundation for a real search for god. One that is not overshadowd by a corrupt church and dogma. You will understand better how the universe works and our role. The truth is that if we all new who we really are and why we are here, they would alter their behavior.

An example, The Bible says that God knew us before we were born. What this indicates is, we are all of the devine. That we exsisted before the known universe. That we are all sons and daughters of the Creator...
