Smiley 5 FCCCER... Stimulus Pkg Acronym?

Just a fun article taking a look at some of the programs acronyms for this useless stimulus package. A personal favorite is FCCCER, Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research, a council created that will anaylze different methods of medical treatment. RAT Board, Recovery Accountabilty and Transparency Board which is supposed to be aimed at finding fraud arising from this stimulus package.

Now with names like FCCCER and RAT Board how are we supposed to to take these things seriously? Lots of other... intriguing names. Lust.... SNAP...

I think I'm going to use this thread as a place for all the ridiculous bailout uses...

Quote:

A new
Rasmussen poll released on
June 10 shows that 45 percent of taxpayers want to halt all of the remaining unspent stimulus funds,
while only 36 percent want to continue.

In Florida, local officials are using $128 million in stimulus money for a bridge project that has been hotly
debated for more than 20 years by locals who see it as unnecessary and a waste of money. Known as the
Indian Street Bridge, it would connect the communities of Stuart and Palm City even though an existing
bridge connects the two only a quarter of a mile away. Even the bridge’s shovel-ready status has been
called into question since construction cannot begin until the needed parcels of land are purchased,
which is not expected to happen until 2011
