Unhappy End 'don't ask-don't tell,' ex-military brass say

Quote:
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- More than 100 retired U.S. military leaders -- including the former head of the Naval Academy -- have signed a statement calling for an end to the military's "don't ask-don't tell" policy, according to a California-based think tank that supports the movement. Retired Adm. Charles Larson, the former Naval Academy superintendent, tops the list of 104 retired general and admirals who want the government to repeal the policy, the Palm Center at the University of California, Santa Barbara, announced Monday.

WiseOne's Comments, dear LORD, you have got to be kidding me! WHY in hell do the gays care so much about this? What, now we are going to allow rainbow flags on the battlefield? Well, I guess the enemy COULD see them easier then, but still. This is so freaking ridiculous. It is NOT good to have a bunch of gays with other people in the Army taking showers together, etc.

I couldn't agree with you more on this. I think that having gays in the military would cause sexual tension among the ranks. Besides, why do we always have to be so freakin politically correct when it comes to gays.
Why don't we just call it as it is. To me, being gay is no different than spending most of your life eating chocolate ice cream. Suddenly, one day, one of your friends encourages you to try Vanilla, so you do and you find it tastes really good. All of the sudden, Vanilla is all you desire. This to me is being gay.

Unhappy

EXACTLY! That's what I mean is the sexual tension. I was in the Army and we ALL had to take showers in the same shower room...NO privacy at all, LOL. Just think when people come in and say they are openly gay! There will be fights and all kinds of stuff. There will be jokes, ribbing, and the like you can BET on it. I can see it now, a bunch of guys will be joking to another guy that the openly gay guy was staring his peter down...he won't be happy...fast forward to the battlefield...the guy that was staring the other guy's peter down (supposedly, whether true or not) is in need of help and is about to get killed.....what happens?

My opinion on openly gay in the military: Openly gay in the military will be the downfall of the military.
