I fail to see how Obama can change the world...but, he sure will change America and it will not be in the way people think. I think America is in for one BIG, rude awakening...but, most Americans deserve it, so, let them have it...

no way.......

I fail to see how Obama will change anything. I think that most Americans put way to much faith in their leaders. These are just human beings. Just as capable of failure and misleading as anyone else.
My opinion is that Obama will go down in history as the worst mistake America ever made.
Did we really overcome the race and prejudice. I think not. He's had more threats to his life than any president past or present. That really says something. Even my closest relatives who usually never would say anything really beligerent are actually hoping someone takes him out. That doesn't say much for the way we are headed in this country.
Scary thought, isn't it.
I don't think we've made much headway in this area at all and I don't think, in truth, it will ever change.

I doubt that the change he peomised will ever occour.....Racism and prjudce are far bigger problems that electing an official...Seriously...Does anyone think that all the White supremist groups had a meeting when Obama was elected and said..Well..it's been a good fight boys..guess we can't hate folks and bee a@# holes anymore. He talks a big game........And I will will be the first to eat my worrs if he accomplishes everthing he has promised....I'll give peace a chance, it's a great idea...but without govornment intervention, it's just an idea.......Are we ready for that????

Good point, I agree...the only way it would change for racism and prejudice is if government FORCED it...even then, it would still be in those people's hearts, they just wouldn't say it out loud is all. Racism and prejudice has been since the beginning of time, in one form or another, and it will continue until the end of times.

Well, just for an example, look at what is going on in South Africa. Blatant racism against whites. You can't get a job if you're not black, now their cell provider is offering a blacks only program to buy shares in their company. You're disqualified if you're white.
Besides, Obama is half-white. He's not pure African-American. He only passed his black ### off as being black in order to get elected.
Please spare me.
Racial prejudice is on the increase and it will get worse. just watch.

Catprint Blue Racism comes in many colors.

It is sad to think that a President of these United States was elected because of his race. During the election I engaged young people, and minorites about what qualities they saw in Barak Obama. Most could not articulate anything of substance. Not one person could tell me one acheivement of Obama's. From what I saw out there, Blacks voted for him because he was black and a Democrat. Hispanics because they beleive he will give amnesty to illegals. Whites because they were fruit cakes!

This is also racism! Making decisions based on racial motives. Want to hear racism? Just listen to The Power on XM radio! Come to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas or Los Angeles. Look up groups like MECHA , La Raza and LUPE! There is plenty of racism to go around! The government can't make one person like another. Nor should they! Want to stop racism...

Stop playing the race card. Stop blaming whites for the failures of minorities. No person alive today ever owned a slave. And no person alive today ever was a slave! There were black kids in my school. They ate at the same resteraunts I did. They had the same oppurtumities I did.

Hispanics need to decide what country they are loyal to. If you want to live and work here be legal and learn the language! And demand equal pay!!! This attitude of Mi estomigo es en Estados Unidos pero mi corazon es en Mexico. Just don't cut it! (My stomach is in the United States But my heart is in Mexico)

Is this racism? NO! I'm judgimg behavior and atitudes that do exsist! Most of us don't have the time to be racists. We are too busy just trying to make a living and raise our families to be bothered. So for all you folks out ther that are crying about racism... GET A GRIP!

DJ it is sad but true.... I have many Democratic friends that belong to a group called UDC ahem United Daughters of the Confederacy....yea.....they act like oh no its not about slavery but the awful jokes that they tell about the president they voted for because he was a democrat is just wrong......they play at being Black-minded like BO playes at being presidential-minded......I truly feel that many white voteres voted for him purely to make themselves feel better about civil rights but the jokes that are going around ought to be a HUGE indicator of the fact that prejudice wil always exist and you can not vote it out of existnce.

I for one think racism ..or reverse racism as its called is worse now than ever..I see it at the doctors office , the shopping center, and just about anywhere there are intermixing of the race's..why and how can that be? obama was supposed to guide his people to be peacefull.
but instead if your white you are the bad guy. I'm sick of it. america is a free country (for now) if you can't make it to bad !
