Persuasion? Democrat
If Ron Paul does not get the Republican Nomination. you know his supporters are gonna push him to run as an Independent.
That could spell some serious trouble for the Republicans.

I really don't see a third party as a threat to either side. the truth is one should vote for whom they feel best represents their views. If Repubs lose this election then that means fewer people believed in them. same with Dem's. I for one am glad there might be a choice other then this or that.

You make it sound as if Ron Paul is the Republicans problem.
My friend, have you already forgotten gitmo, Jeff Gannon, Iraq, 9/11, Alberto Gonzalez, Ramos and Compion, George Bush, the economy, stock market, housing, downing street memo's, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, and many many other things that have turned the GOP into a bunch of NEOCONS.

Just look at some of the bills Ron Paul authored [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Political Forum Link. . Ask yourself, would you vote for most of these..........and then ask yourself, why in the hell didn't the other congressmen vote for these.
There is more back bone in these bills than most congressmen have in their bodies.

I have not paid attention to third party politics, but since Clinton is lying her way to the nod. I may vote for a thrid party candidate.

Politcally Moderate, this election will be similar to the Presidential elections of 1912, 1860, and 1948. Ralph Nader made a threat that he would run as an Indy if Obama or Edwards loses. Ron Paul supporters in the Liberatian Party might draft him. The Consititional Party will get Alan Keyes. The Green Party themseleves have a favorite with the Georgia's loonly former congresswoman Cindy McKinnely. Then you have the annoying Micheal Bloomberg saying " I am not going to run, but making threats to do so" and Unity08 have might pick a candidate.

That is
Democrats..... Hillary/Byle ticket (Obama supporters like myself will either not vote or vote third party or even GOP)
GOP... Rommey/Thomspon or McCain/Thomspon
Indy/Reform.... Nader
Green..McKinnely
Liberatian.....Ron Paul (with Walter Williams as Vice President)
Consititional Party......Alan Keyes.
Unity08.....Unknown TBA
Indy/??????..........The annoying Micheal Bloomberg
Indy... Dennis (the UFO Menace) Kunnich.

The GOP nomination will be similar to the 1964. The Democrats will exprevince 1968 all over again. I'll go out on a limb and I say the GOP will spilt to have two sets of tickets.

The electrol college itself will be the major factor in this election. Can you say 2000?

I doubt he will run as an independent. The republican party will put him back in check before that happens. As far as the democratic side goes. Look for Obama to take SC but Hillary will take the majority of the super tuesday states.

I respectively disagree. The Republican candidate will not be deemed as a conservative in the red states. Fred Thompson (outside of loony Alan Keyes) is the most consersevtive in the GOP primary race.

According to who, Freight, you? My vote counts the same as the next person. So stop with the conspirtiost theory BS. It gets mighty old.

If your so-called theory was true, then there would be a public outcry of some sort.
