World And now for a world government

Quote:
I have never believed that there is a secret United Nations plot to take over the US. I have never seen black helicopters hovering in the sky above Montana. But, for the first time in my life, I think the formation of some sort of world government is plausible.

A “world government” would involve much more than co-operation between nations. It would be an entity with state-like characteristics, backed by a body of laws. The European Union has already set up a continental government for 27 countries, which could be a model. The EU has a supreme court, a currency, thousands of pages of law, a large civil service and the ability to deploy military force.

So could the European model go global? There are three reasons for thinking that it might.

WiseOne's Comments, I do see this coming as well. Fist thing is America either HAS to be out of the way OR do what they are doing now by nationalizing banks, auto companies, etc., etc. This all very well could be meant to be. NEVER would have happened before until this economic crisis. Americans are simple-minded and have not the fortitude to either want to stop it or be worried by it. All they care about is gas in their cars and McD's in their tummies. Oh, and lest we forget...killing each other over Chinese, lead-lined junk at Wal-Mart...

In this day and age I don't see it happening. I think this is a cause people would actually rally against or at the very least not take seriously because honestly... Or it won't happen because what politician is going to vote AGAINST losing their incumbency power in Washington?

I think a world government would actually cause MORE economic instability in the US because it isn't predictable what would happen to markets. Maybe the politicians would use that as an angle to vouch against a joining a world government. Markets don't like or react well to uncertain surprises.

I think this is just some more pieces being put in place. I DO think we must have World War III before it can truly come to fruition though. But, all this leads me to believe it was certainly meant to be and it well on its way...

I wish people would just give up on the idea of making a world government. The US had it right when we didn't join the League of Nations after WW1. What was the US thinking when we joined the UN after WW2?

I'm with wiseone on this one. I think that we are headed towards some form of world government. I don't think it's something that anyone really wants, though.
Personally, if the U.S. needs to do anything, it needs to resort and go back to being the form of government it was meant to be from the beginning. One that was controlled by the people for the people. Democracy is bull___!!!
Democrats and Socialists go hand in hand. With Democracy, people have no say and with Socialism, you have no say. They just do what they damn please and that's what they've been doing for years and years. Enough is Enough. It's time for the people to stand up and say they've had it!!!!

I vote we divide the U.S. up into two. the people who want a government controlled by the people and the people who want Big brother to tell them when they can and can't go to the pottie.
What a bunch of cowards this country has become.

If we go into a world government, we're all guilty of standing by and letting it happen.

I don't know weather to keep up the fight or just roll over and die now...I almost can't stand to watch the news which is not even news but an orchestrated slant by a newscaster to further a personal desire to show the world through their own eyes.
