Immorality, gay marriage, political correctness, selfishness, hatred, rage, complete and utter apathy is going to destroy America, period. Let's watch it happen and talk about how and why it's happening here!

Angry What happened to the good 'ol USA?

Newbie here. Thanks for the forum.
My view of what went wrong:

1. The Destruction of the American family. 'Nuff said.

2. Television - The Destruction of American values. Why do I have to explain what Viagra is to my 8 year old daughter after seeing a commercial on prime time TV?
Or why can my 13 year old daughter come home after school and ingest the wealth of information she gets from watching Tyra.
Or why do I have to watch the 'normalization' of the gay lifestyle or watch children disrespecting their parents or watch premarital sex on every other tv program that is publically broadcast?

3. The destruction of the U.S. economy. Why can I not walk into a store and purchase a toy, appliance, socks, dishes, etc. that is manufactured in this country?

4. The destruction of Christianity in the U.S. See points 1 and 2 above.

5. The destruction of the U.S. work ethic. See points 1-4 above.

6. The 'reconstruction' of the U.S. Constitution.

Exclamation Empire

Advertising. Newspaper, radio, movies and television were developed to be used as a platform to influence people to buy products through advertising. All three media forms compete for viewers by presenting stories and programing that appeal to 80% of the population who have double digit IQs. The more sensational the story or program material the more viewers. The more viewers the more exposure for advertisers. This is ok but the competition for news show viewers (thus stories) has become so fierce that the news stories are being distorted and blown out of proportion (swine flu for example). So what is being presented now are skewed news stories and sensational programing portraying every possible distortion of human life and American society. Remember advertising works very well at influencing people to spend money, it also influences people in social behavior. When people are exposed to advertising or killing or violence, people will be influenced. The intelligence of the viewer determines what is real and what is "advertising". Don't believe it? Ask Dr. Goebbels, it worked for him.

Allred, I agree with all your points. Please allow me to add to point 4. The elimination of moral value from the justice system. In particular the Moranda ruling. This was a man who admitted to killing another human being but was judged "not guilty" because he was not reminded of his legal rights. He had admitted his guilt but a judge ruled that he was innocent. This was a landmark case that was the beginning of the end for our justice system. How can a self confessed guilty person be made "not guilty" because he wasn't told he could have a lawyer? Why can a person confess to a crime and then change their mind ? Better question is why do we allow judges and lawyers get away with presenting such foolishness ? Also have you ever seen a lawyer or judge or doctor or Senator on a jury ?

Allred, point 2. We stop watching the television programing causing viewer ratings to fall hitting the producers where they are most sensitive (bank account).
