Thumbs down After the vote.

I must say I was shocked that California decided to ban gay marriage. I would've never thought that would've happened.
I have some friends that are gay but I have never been able to swallow the marriage thing and still can't.
Personally, I feel that if American would choose to allow gay marriage in every state, that would just open us up to a lot more problems like wanting polygamy legalized, beastiality, nudity, etc etc etc.
In other words, a more perverse state of mind. Hopefully, I'm cold in the grave before American ever chooses to legitimize such acts.

Yes, our country is on it's way down the tubes the hard way. Welcome to Sodam and Gomorrah...We've arrived.

Ya that surprised me too... Could not have called that one! I can swing both ways on this one. There are some that say bieng Gay is a choice and I have Gay friends and I have never heard one Gay person tell me that their attraction to the same sex was their choice. If you put yourself in their shoes it would suck not to be able to be recognized simply because they are not attracted to the opposite sex.

Genetic science has already come along way in explaining differnces between girls, tomboys and otherwise due to XXY, XXX, and all other sorts of chromosomal mutations and alterations. If science proves that sexual attraction is a product of genetics, and I think it will, then I think gay marriage will be required. It is a big step to go from gay marraige to beastiality, but then again we may find that these are simply a product of genetics to a certain degree, but most cases cite pschological stressors. Anyway I don't really know what I make of all that. I say let them have a civil union. Let them be recognized in wedding, but keep it seperate from marraige. Sometimes we have to compromise, everyone has rights.
