when bush senior did that ban almost 20 years ago my thoughts were then that he was looking to drive oil prices up higher at the time by reducing supply. In my opinion probably 95% percent of politicians couldn't care less about the voters or the future of this country. bush is probably doing this cause he knows a democratic congress will vote down any drilling anyway and then he can say at least he tried. Totally IMO and I don't claim to be a genius, just a cynic after watching these people for 40 years. gordon
