You started this thread about a MOVIE...you can't separate a movie from your absolute belief (YOUR literal interpretation) in the bible?

I scoff when people try to pass off their religious beliefs as scientific fact and try to make a case for the Nazi's and other totalitarian governments and practices being based on Darwins scientific study of evolution...I think I posted some very good links that totally refute your assertion.

You, among others, don't seem to realize that yours is NOT the only truth, or belief...you seem to be among the group that says...MY way (are you god?)...is the ONLY way...I disagree.

Lets see, where to start without wasting too much of my time:

That right there backs up scripture concerning the arrogance of man and his worshiping the 'creature' rather than the Creator! Man has set himself up as 'God!'

The Bible as Science

1 Science discovered that everything we see is composed of invisible atoms. Scripture tells us that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
3 The world believed that the world sat on a large animal or a giant, the bible taught of the earth's free floating in space.(Job26:7).
4 The Bible told us the earth was round,(Isaiah 40:22). 2400 yrs later when science believed the earth flat Christopher Columbus " believing the scriptures" set sail to go around the earth.
5 GOD told job in BC : Can you send lighting, that they may go, and say to you, here we are?(job 38:35). Radio waves travel at the speed of light and speak. Scientist discovered this in 1864.
6 Job 38:19 asks, Where is the way where light dwells? Recently scientist discovered that light has a way, traveling at 186000 miles per second.
7 Scientist has discovered that stars emit radio waves, which are received on earth as a high pitch.Job 38:7: when the stars sing together.
8 Scientist who study the structures of the universe agree the genesis account of creation may be uncannily close to the truth.
9 Ecclesiastes 1:6 The wind goes toward the south, and turns about unto the north; it whirls about continually, and the wind returns again according to his circuits. Two thousand years later scientist discovered that's what the wind does.
10 Science expresses the universe in five terms; time,space,matter,power,and motion. Genesis 1:1,2 In the beginning[time]GOD created[power] the heaven[space] and the earth[matter] and the spirit of GOD moved[motion] over the surface of the water.
11 Job 40:15-24 speaks of the dinosaur. The behemoth largest of all creators GOD made. Tail like a tree truck and could drink large quantities of water. Then GOD said " he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. God made him extinct.

There are many very good scientist in this world but it is always best to consider the teachings of the one who made everything. The Bible should be in every scientist reference library.

Indicates a 'moral' judgment, but natural selection and random life are not subject to spiritual principles! Better pick some scientific jargon to describe..

Well, then I guess the well-documented life & crucifixion of Jesus the Christ (Messiah) was not a 'fact,' and that when He said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no man comes to God the Father but by Me" he must have made a mistake or just been out-and-out lying?! And science, being ONLY 3-dimensional, has only part of 'the story,' as scripture talks about a realm of the spirit (a 4th dimension) where there is no time or distance. So science is limited in there attempt to 'prove their theories' and many they cannot prove after all their 'towering achievements!!'

I truly feel sorry for those Godless ppl out there who have no hope and nothing to believe in but the feeble knowledge of man...very sad!!

This is nonsense in this regard. Pure religious bigotry that allowed such things as witch trials and the dark ages. You are in fact arguing for another dark age, there HAS been an ENLIGHTENMENT...the very thing which precipitated our Constitution..I hope you and those like you don't succeed in your efforts to drag us back into a dominionist theocracy.

It indicates a true and supportable ETHICAL judgement and statement.

The difference between you & me, KJ, is that I am not trying to prove that I am 'right;' but rather trying to reach your spiritual side---that's the side that says in the scripture, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' Let me use the equivalent scientific tern of "Analogy" for what was taught in scriptures as Parables

See if these 'facts' about 'agriculture' make sense to you:

Parable of the Sower (an 'analogy):

4)When a large crowd was coming together, and those from the various cities were journeying to Him, He spoke by way of a parable:

5"The sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled under foot and the birds of the air ate it up.

6"Other seed fell on rocky soil, and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

7"Other seed fell among the thorns; and the thorns grew up with it and choked it out.

8"Other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great." As He said these things, He would call out, " He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

9) His disciples began questioning Him as to what this parable meant.

10) And He said, "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.

11"Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.

12"Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.

Well, being a 3-dimensional being in a 4-dimensional universe, one cannot accept the full truth and therefore are blinded from the facts en total when discussing the subject of ID vs. the random, dumb-luck outcome that has produced the amazing universe that we live in at present. So consciously being blinded by your rejection of a belief system based on thousands of years of well-documented history, fulfilled prophecy, and many human witnesses makes this discussion limited, and therefore you can not progress beyond the limited wisdom that accompanies man's interpretation of why and where we are today....good luck with having mortal man as 'your savior'....
