The 'Common Sense Obituary' got me thinking and reflective about how I've seen this nation change over the years. It seemed that growing up in that 'old value' system of the integrity of your family name meant everything, and that one's word was who that person really was, has no meaning for this latest generation. It's is considered 'stupid' these days for one to go to court and tell the truth if telling the truth means taking responsibility for that person's actions and the consequences. So 'lying' is expected (ref MLB and drugs) and fits well into today's society of quantity---Not quality---means everything! The quantity meaning get all the toys (and ASAP, i.e. credit if necessary) to meet one's idea of success and to also provide the distractions to keep one from being conscious of the innate sense of the right & wrongs of living a responsible life in society.

The quality, once having to do with integrity and doing 'the right thing,' has been transferred to the value of the toys---Not personal attributes! When one sees and experiences this exponential change of attitudes in this country over the 'recent' 50 years of it's history, and how it is being adopted by all the nations of the global economy as we have lead the way, I can plainly see how it fits in with end-time predictions. Altho I shouldnt be surprised by this degradation of societal values, and how quickly it has occurred, it is still a hard gulp to swallow knowing from where this great nation has come, having seen some of it in it's 'golden days' (50's -early 60's)' and having grownup with undisputed moral guidelines & borders. This 'X' and now 'Y' generation cares little from where it came from (knows little about our history) and therefore will be ripe for the deception coming upon us....very sad, and it will be hard to watch as it unfolds
