This article is about the poor...folks who can't afford cable, the internet and anything other than a land line on the cheapest monthly rate...not the ones you guys are talking about.

It could get very bad...and given that, it is always a good idea to keep emergency water and rations as well as medical first aid etc. If you can afford it put in several months of good quality dried provisions...they last, if stored properly for years...

The government has told the American people to 'go shopping' for seven long years...what do you expect...listen to the 'News' do you hear anything? Crickets chirping....

Talk about being down! Some of us are tough and can handle what is coming...but MOST cannot and will try to TAKE from those who are smart enough to see this disaster coming. Look at this world!!! We are almost in World War III, the economy is just verging on a depression, the stock markets WILL crash...and people go out, buy new cars, new TVs, cell phones, and all kinds of crap that they don't "need" (my car has 119,000 miles on it, yet I don't want a new one). This sure is one greedy, spoiled society. It scares me to think when this depression comes what people will do really.

I hear ya and have you beat on my car mileage. Now, would you like to have a private talk with my hubby??? LOL!! MY idea of a nice car I would love to have one day is a late 70s model chevy pickup. My hubbys is a late model Dodge pickup 2000+
Somehow we're backwards as I hate to shop and he loves it. I'm a tightwad and a half. I think the women should take care of the financial matters Just kiddin, I know there are plenty of men who take good care too.

I would like to get the 18 wheeler some body work done, but it's gonna have to work then some body work. On top of that, we'll do the body/paint ourselves. It's great to have family that's done a few things lol. It's not very pretty to look at but runs like a bat outta ****!

I agree 100%. I have already done this and am working on more. I have wind up radios, lights, rations, and all in an emergency safety kit I bought. Good for 4 people for 3 days, but it's only me so hopefully 20 days it will last or so. Not much, I know, but a start. This IS coming for sure. Darn, I'm glad I don't live in Georgia with no water soon...
