WiseOne's Comments, now this is really getting into scary territory here. State-owned refineries in America? I can see the thinking here, but this isn't Russia or Iran here. Surely there have to be better ways to go about this? Hm, how about telling American's to conserve and stop being so selfish and greedy for a start?

Ironically, the nationalisation of the energy is something done in Canada. Québec province, for exemple, has nationalized Hydro-Québec, the main power producer, and it has been a widely effective plan. Heck. the United States have been importing some of their energy for years now. France did this as well with the EDF and its been working quite well.

The advantage is that the people have an actual control over their energy policy on a whole new level with this. Stop seeing Lenin everytimes we move a little on the left and see some more factual comparisons.
