Angry Obama Slams 'Small Town America'

Quote:
Hillary Clinton and John McCain both ripped into Barack Obama Friday for reportedly saying residents of small-town America “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them” out of bitterness over lost jobs, a remark his opponents interpreted as arrogant.

The Huffington Post reported that Obama made the comments while speaking to a group of wealthy California donors in San Francisco over the weekend. The Post quotes him specifically singling out towns in Pennsylvania, where he’s trying to woo voters and overcome Clinton’s lead in the polls before the state’s April 22 primary.

The comments, which can also be heard in an audio recording later posted on the Huffington Web site, immediately became fodder for the campaigns of Clinton, Obama’s rival for the Democratic nomination, and McCain, his potential Republican challenger.

WiseOne's Comments, uh-oh...he is in trouble now! That sounds REALLY bad what he said. What he just did MAY get Hillary nominated. Saying that small town America clings to religion and guns as a type of "crutch" is elitism at its finest and shows his arrogance...guess he got that from the black panthers club. Barack Obama scares me...Hillary does more, but he is worrisome indeed.

I heard this story from CNN. Let me say it is time for you, wiseone and others, to learn critical thinking here.

Wise one, you only took apart of his comments and spin it into something else. I am from a small town in Texas and I can tell you in all honestly that people are bitter. There are in fact some people who do place blame (Right or Wrong) on other different types of people, the different ideas, and other factors.

How can you accuse anyone of elitism? If Obama is an elitist, then that makes me an elitist as well. Someone who is from the elite isn't from a single parent family, a minority, or have ecomonic hard times.

The short sightness and the kneejerk reaction instead of actully understanding the meaning behind the words IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN ANY BOMB, TERRORIST etc.
