NASA warming scientist: 'This is the last chance' Quote: WASHINGTON (AP) — Exactly 20 years after warning America about global warming, a top NASA scientist said the situation has gotten so bad that the world's only hope is drastic action. James Hansen told Congress on Monday that the world has long passed the "dangerous level" for greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and needs to get back to 1988 levels. He said Earth's atmosphere can only stay this loaded with man-made carbon dioxide for a couple more decades without changes such as mass extinction, ecosystem collapse and dramatic sea level rises. For all the people screaming about Bush and martial law, communistic ideas etc. all I have to say is here it comes with this new propaganda immature ideas and the push for power. No one will care because we'll save the trees and little bugs..................... they can't see the end result..... We're running headlong into an America that no one will recognize in a few short years. No freedom of speech, caps on who can drive what, when and where, who can work where, etc.

People who advocate lowering emissions to lessen global warming are wasting their time because scientists are divided over the issue of whether the Earth is cooling or warming. The four main sources that release figures for global tempature; Hadley, GISS, UAH, and RSS reported in January of 2008 that global cooling has occurred.
